Chest Shops
Chest Shops turn a chest inside your CobbleClub claim into a protected player shop. The server handles price, stock, item transfer and PokéDollar payment.
Create a shop
Place a chest inside your claim
The chest must be in CobbleClub-protected land where your role has the Chest Shops permission. By default, shop creation is Owner-only.
Run `/chestshop`
This arms shop-placement mode. The instruction appears on screen; it is intentionally not duplicated into chat.
Right-click a side of the chest
Click a horizontal side—not the top or bottom. CobbleClub needs room for the shop sign.
Choose the item
The item-selection screen opens. Choose a non-empty inventory item that this chest will sell.
Set the unit price
The price screen shows server guidance/minimums based on the economy. Confirm your desired unit price.
Stock the chest
Put the sell item into the chest. The sign/shop state updates to reflect item, price and stock.
Seller controls
Normal right-click
As the shop owner/manager, normal interaction with the chest is used for stocking and inventory access.
Sneak-click / shop sign
Use the management interaction to open shop controls rather than buying from your own listing.
/chestshop cancelCancel placement mode if you changed your mind before creating the shop.
What happens when someone buys
Buyer opens the shop
The shop UI shows the item, unit price and available stock.
Server re-checks everything
CobbleClub verifies balance and stock on the server instead of trusting the client screen.
Money and item move together
The buyer is charged, the item is transferred, and PokéDollars are deposited directly to the shop owner.
Failed stock changes are protected
If the stock changed unexpectedly during the purchase, the transaction logic can refund rather than silently eating money.
Good shop setup
Make a market subclaim
Use a dedicated subclaim with controlled permissions so customers can enter/use the shop area without gaining build access.
Keep stock simple
One shop sells one configured item. Use multiple chests for a clean marketplace.
Price from `/sell`
The server gives price guidance. Player shops can charge more than server sell value when scarcity/effort justifies it.
Use claim messages
Entry messages can identify your market, rules or shop owner.
Check access
If buyers cannot interact, review claim role permissions/bans before rebuilding the shop.
Use `/pay` for negotiated trades
For one-off deals, direct payments are simpler than creating a permanent shop.
